Professor Steven Eckhart
Villain Human The Machine Active

Professor Steven Eckhart is the senior scientist responsible for maintaining the systems that keep Judas alive and functional inside the underground facility. Fifty years old, with slicked-back black hair and piercing green eyes behind thin European circular glasses, Eckhart presents as controlled, intelligent, and exacting. His lab coat is crowded with pens, tools, and small technical devices—the outward signs of a man whose attention is always divided between the people around him and the machinery he understands better than anyone else.

Unlike most of the facility personnel, Eckhart is willing to resist Cutter when scientific necessity or Judas’s survival demands it. He understands the true condition of Dr. Jonas Marbury better than anyone in the room: the body is gone as a living organism, while the brain remains the active intelligence at the center of Judas’s systems. That knowledge makes Eckhart indispensable, but it also leaves him acutely aware of how unstable the situation has become. His concern is not cowardice; it is the fear of the one man present who actually understands what can go wrong.
