Kaigan Nakamura was raised within the Yakuza and trained to become an exceptionally disciplined assassin before further developing his skills through military service. After years of killing on command, the murder of Hiroshi Takara—and the sight of Takara’s young daughter witnessing the aftermath—forced Kaigan to confront what he had become.
A mysterious Rift event later transformed him, granting Kaigan the ability to absorb energy and redirect it through his body and weapons. Ordered to assassinate Audric Adams after the Fukushima disaster, Kaigan instead abandoned the contract and ultimately the organization that had controlled much of his life. Now fighting alongside Audric and Valentina as a member of the Triad, Kaigan uses the same patience, tactical instincts, and combat skills that once made him an effective killer to protect others. Quiet and emotionally guarded, he rarely speaks without reason, but his experience often makes him the grounding tactical presence of the team.
